Thematic Society of Australia
About Us
The Thematic Society of Australia was formed in 1978 to provide a venue with regular meetings to discuss and illustrate the chosen theme for collectors and exhibitors.
Our members are from Sydney and surrounding areas, interstate and overseas. We are a small and friendly group who enjoy (as the eminent Collector Geoffrey McAuley once noted) the easiest or the most difficult form of the hobby - a thematic collection is never completed.
We are proud of our magazine "Themes" which is published quarterly. Articles in the magazine cover a diverse range of interests including both traditional and thematic in origin.
Each month we have a display by either one of our members or a visitor. Material on loan from Philas House is also shown. We have a sale of philatelic items at each meeting.
If you would like to become a member please contact our Secretary (contact details below).
Visitors are always welcome.
