Society for Polar Philately

About Us

We are a Sydney based philatelic group specializing in all forms of Polar Philately. Our club was formed in 1974 to promote and develop Polar Philately. It is affiliated with the Philatelic Association of NSW (PHILAS) and is a chapter 5(3) of the American Society of Polar Philatelists.

It is a club for collectors interested in covers, stamps and postal history of the Antarctic and / or Arctic Polar Regions. We invite you to participate and benefit from all its activities. Based in Sydney, the Society represents Polar Philately throughout Australia, and is actively involved in all types of philately covering collecting and exhibiting.

Our club produces a magazine called ‘Penguin News’ and has a blog website for members only. We welcome visitors interested in Antarctic and Arctic  postal covers, stamps and history.
