Bathurst Stamp, Coin, Collectables and Lapidary Club Inc.

About Us

The club has over 150 members who are into not only stamp collecting and philately but coins, bank notes and many other collectables. Our club commenced as the 'Bathurst Philatelic Society' in 1895, the first in country NSW and the second in the Colony of NSW. Lapidary and rock collecting is another area under our club banner with workshops Wednesday mornings most weeks.

Meetings include stamp and other displays and regular activities as well as Guest Speakers. Most meetings have a topic upon which to do a mini display of what one collects i.e. stamps, coins etc. Points from these mini displays go towards an annual trophy in 6 categories. Stamp, coin and other workshops are held throughout the year. Mini actions of stamps and other collectables are held also. We encourage all members to bring along to meetings their 'Latest Acquisition' (an item recently purchased, swapped, given, etc. Supper is served at each meeting and new members are warmly welcomed.

A 10 or more page newsletter is published every two months for financial members.
